Yes, the technology is currently being adopted by Apple so you’ll soon see your iPhone or iPad being charged wirelessly through inductive charging. There are currently three organizations setting wireless charging standards in the world namely Alliance for Wireless Power, Power Matters Alliance, and the Wireless Power Consortium. But the Wireless Power Consortium’s Qi Standard may edge out its competitors because of its adopters namely Google, Verizon, and Apple now coming into the mix.

Yes, it’s already working. Apple is adopting it and soon you can get your Apple device recharged using wireless technology, without a charger or a power bank.
