So a few days ago chrome started opening itself when my computer starts I have searched ways to fix this but I couldn't find that would work. I have tried using regedit but I couldn't find anything there and there is no chrome application on startup option in task manager. I am using windows 10 pro if this helps.

I think you have an unwanted extension(which are harmful & affecting your browser) on your chrome browser, that is what is affecting you. Uninstall those from chrome. Please try definitely it will work for you. But still, you are facing the same problem let me know.

I had this issue and the ADW Cleaner worked for me!! You may try this.
