Try to keep charge between 20% and 80%, while only doing a FULL charge. This will preserve the overall longevity of the battery's ability to hold a charge.

Follow theses steps to keep laptop’s battery in good health,

  1. You can unplug the battery after each use,
  2. Periodically clean your battery's metal contacts with a clean cloth after every 2 month,
  3. Turn off the WiFi, if you don't need it.
  4. Add more RAM memory to your laptop, this will allow you to process more with the memory your laptop has, rather than relying on virtual memory.
  5. Virtual memory results in hard drive use, and is much less power efficient.
