Smartphone infected by ransomware attack

 I purchased new android mobile Lenovo K8 Note. I have not downloaded any unwanted apps & documents. Some data files missing. How can I get rid of this kind of attacks? Can anyone please help me.

Yes, there is possible smartphones are also infected by ransomware attack. We can't imagine about hackers mind.
