How do I prevent a Wanna Cry ransomware attack?

I was badly infected with ransomware attack how can I protect my self with the issue, Help me, please...

Are you the victim of this attack just follow simple steps to protect yourself from these kinds of attack in future and now.

Step 1: Never run such a files which you don't trust

Step 2: Avoid obsolete and pilfered OSes

Step 3: Use latest versions of OS

Step 4: Install the best firewall and antivirus( Comodo, Kaspersky etc.,)

Step 5: Keep your data backup often
