Here are steps to protect your mobile hotspot from hackers and freeloaders.

Step 1: Enable strong encryption

Step 2: Change your hotspot's SSID

Step 3: Enable hotspot's port-filtering/ blocking features

Step 4: Don't share your password with anyone

Step 5: Finally, change your password often

Note: Avoid turn on hotspot public places.
