How to Dual Boot Windows 7 & Linux using a single  hard drive.

You can try this procedure Go to system properties, then select local disk c, Select a Linux Distro, Prepare Installation Media, Partition the Hard Drive, Boot From Removable Media, Install OS, Reboot and Configure Perfecting Your Ubuntu Install (Optional).

You may try like this

1: boot and install windows 7 (leave some free space for ubuntu)
2: boot and install latest ubuntu to free space.
