URL Manipulation is also known as URL rewriting, URL manipulation involves altering URL parameters, mostly using a program. While administrators use URL manipulation for various positive uses, cybercriminals may use it with malicious intent, like for example for redirecting users to illegitimate websites so as to cause malware attacks.
