I bought new DELL laptop from the store. It's costly licensed OS installed. I’ve not downloaded anything on it. But my computer acting like it’s infected. Windows Defender good enough or another security software need to install. Please help me.

It's a very good question lots of people having the same doubt. Windows Defender is good enough for windows 10/8/7 PC. No need to worry it will protect your pc from antivirus and anti-malware.
Note: If your OS is licensed.

If you are a safe surfer no problem. In terms of security no but it gives a good performance.

No, Windows Defender is not enough. Because it offers only the most basic protection for your PC(s) which is not enough in combating today's ever-evolving malware. So what you need is a dedicated anti-virus protection.
